Nicole Auerbach co-leads the practice of law business and is a founder of ElevateNext Law, a certified majority woman-owned firm that serves as the practice of law capability for Elevate. This unique combination blends high-quality legal expertise with the right people, process, and technology to significantly lower legal spending and substantially increase efficiency without compromising outcomes. ElevateNext specializes in handling business, as usual, run the company not bet the company matters. Nicole is nationally known as an innovator in the legal industry, having founded Valorem Law Group in 2008 to pioneer the alternative fee movement. Prior to forming Valorem, Nicole practiced for 15 years at an AmLaw 100 firm in Chicago, where she was a partner in the litigation department. She represents clients in federal and state courts and in arbitrations across the country. In 2017, Nicole obtained one of the top 12 verdicts in Illinois. Nicole was named one of the “2019 Notable Gen X Leaders in Law” by Crain’s Chicago Business and one of the “Most Influential Women Attorneys in Chicago” by Crain’s Publishing in 2017. Nicole was previously named “One of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Illinois” by Illinois Super Lawyers and one of “Forty Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch” by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. Nicole is a co-founder of the Coalition of Women in Law, which has chapters in Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. Nicole is a certified arbitrator through the American Arbitration Association. She is also a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management. She regularly speaks and writes on issues regarding innovation in the legal industry.
