Elevate is pleased to be the lead partner for the FT Innovative Lawyers Summit. The event will bring together the global community of corporate counsel and private practice lawyers together with chief executives, academics and non-legal innovators to discuss how the profession can best meet the challenges it faces, both in terms of innovation and in its evolving role in business, government and society.
Session 1: Humans and Machines
The rate at which legal tasks are being automated is accelerating. Many law firms and corporate law departments are using machine learning to simplify and speed-up repetitive legal tasks. They are becoming technologically-enabled but are still some way off being a true digital law firm or law department. But perhaps such a goal is misguided. This session will cover the latest technological transformations in the law and discuss how best to achieve a balance between humans and machines in the legal profession.
