We are delighted to announce that we have signed an exclusive deal to become the Lead Partner to the Financial Times in their FT Innovative Lawyers Awards program for the next several years. This is a significant partnership that brings together two of the most powerful brands in ‘the business of law’ and we look forward to shaping the rapidly changing way that legal services are bought and delivered over the coming years through this collaboration.

From the very first FTIL event back in 2006, Liam and I have been huge admirers of these awards because they are so very different from other awards in the legal industry. The quality of the research by Reena SenGupta and her team at RSG Consulting is without equal in the sector and the quality of entries – now showing real innovation on both the sell side and the buy side of the market – has reached a point where the work that is being celebrated is really beginning to change the way legal services are delivered forever. And long may that continue!

The rise of Legal Operations and COO Legal roles has been an important development in the way corporate legal departments are now ‘running legal as a business.’ This has been a noticeable change over the last few years and our partnership with the FT, as the best known and most trusted business brand, will continue to push this innovation and change over the coming five years. We are very excited to watch this unfold and look forward to seeing many customers and contacts at one of the awards ceremonies in Europe, North America or Asia (see below), or at the annual FT Innovative Lawyers Summit in London in June!
