Switching Outside Counsel Might Not Be the Answer. Halebury Could Well Be!

June 11, 2015

Another lot of fruitful information from The Lawyer Magazine’s “In-House Attitudes Report 2015” highlighted here by Corporate Counsel. The impact of NewLaw firms such as Halebury isn’t featured in the report and perhaps should be next year. Considerable savings as against big law firms and very high quality work can be done by highly experienced interim lawyers. Our clients give us strongly positive feedback on using us as an alternative legal supplier.

A new U.K. study of in-house counsel attitudes shows that nearly two-thirds of the 530 respondents switched outside counsel last year to save money. The “In-House Attitudes Report 2015” is “an excellent barometer of the changing trends and shifting perspectives on the practice of law,” according to The Lawyer, the London-based weekly legal newspaper that conducted the survey. Although in-house budgets are rising slightly, “cost remains top of the agenda,” The Lawyer said, citing the switches in outside counsel. “However,” it added, “level of service still remains an issue for nearly half the respondents.”
